ABSTRACT

We seek to uncover the dormant narratives of the site by alluding to a geological and ecological history. The scheme references the basaltic pediplain, in its delineation of the parts; done in new ways.

The Superblock , allows a generic volume and form. In an age of uncertain futures density is a social tool ideal for its scale of sections and shadows in the hot/arid conditions of the region. The minimised and compact footprint is a meaningful barter for a new rejuvenated Landscape, where one may build well and in accretion or whole. It is a landscape infrastructural project , wherein ecological restoration is informed by architectural decisions.

We seek to bring SYMBOLIC meaning by deliberate and delicate juxtapositions. with nature. The Court of Orange Trees opens parts of the superblock - between living and working.

We express that Justice is a solid foundation best appointed in a dynamic fragile equilibrium. As the buildings hover over continuous connected shaded places, this replicates the challenge and the opportunity of the anonymity in the city.
